Here are the service project details for Do Good Day 2025. Please look them over and let us know your preferences when registering.

  • Family Promise of the Midlands – Participants will have the opportunity to install a fence around the patio at their Opportunity Center and help with a deep cleaning of the facility to make it a safe and welcoming space for families.

  • Harriet Hancock Center – Participants will brighten the community center by painting both inside and outside, installing new shelving, and putting up décor that creates a warm and affirming environment.

  • Home Works – Participants will refresh both an individual property and their warehouse facility through interior and exterior painting, along with landscaping projects that improve safety and curb appeal.

  • Keep the Midlands Beautiful – Participants will take part in the annual Lake Murray Sweep, helping clean up the lakefront and protect one of our community’s most beautiful natural resources.

  • Midlands Fatherhood Coalition – Participants will spend time staffing the Dad’s Den, where they will provide snacks and crafts, offering support and encouragement to fathers in the program. (kid-friendly option)

  • Midlands Orphan Relief – Participants will sort and organize clothing and donations, while also working on landscaping projects that keep the facility a welcoming place for children and families.

  • Mission Lexington – Participants will help transform their Holding Room and Social Services Space through deep cleaning and painting, creating a more dignified and inviting environment for clients.

  • Power in Changing – Participants will reorganize and stock the warehouse that serves as the hub for diapers and hygiene products, ensuring families can access essentials more easily.

  • Senior Resources – Participants will paint house numbers for Meals on Wheels clients, providing a simple but vital safety measure to help emergency responders and volunteers find homes quickly.

  • Sharing God’s Love – Participants will assist with a full deep clean and organization of the facility, along with landscaping outside, helping this ministry continue to serve families with excellence.

  • Kid-Friendly On-Site Project (at the church) – Children (preschool and older) and a parent can take part in a family-friendly service experience right at the church. Participants will learn about why we serve, discover organizations that make an impact in our community, and complete hands-on mini-projects for them. Examples include repackaging pet food for Mission Lexington, creating birthday bags for Sharing God’s Love, and making prayer blankets for Emmaus community members. Note: One parent should attend with their child—this is not a drop-off event. Families with two parents are encouraged to have one serve at another site to support adult and student projects.
